Applications Now Being Accepted - Deadline November 30

The Power of 10  Program is an initiative designed for recent graduates (within the last seven years)* to provide learning experiences that will enrich the individual and benefit the individual’s practice, community, and profession.

The Power of 10 Program offers approximately 10 early-career veterinarians** the opportunity to complete a program comprised of in-person and virtual educational opportunities and activities. Veterinarians from all practice types or career paths are invited to apply.

Power of 10 is a pathway to help recent graduates answer questions such as:

  • I emerged from veterinary school and I’m in practice, but how can I get a better grasp on what makes me tick?
  • What role can I play in an effective team?
  • How can I maximize my strengths and overcome my weaknesses?
  • Who am I in the bigger picture, and what legacy can I give to my family, my community, and my profession?

Participation in the Power of 10 class creates a spirit of community and participants build lasting bonds with other members of the Power of 10 class. In-person learning experiences are scheduled to minimize the impact on working hours, and the entire program is designed to garner support from practice owners who recognize their key responsibility in developing human potential.

The cost to participate in this signature professional development program is complimentary. However, the participant is asked to cover travel, lodging and associated expenses to attend events.

*This program is intended for veterinarians who graduated within the past seven years; other candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

**Enrollment is limited to approximately 10 MVMA members per year, but MVMA will consider all qualified applicants if program resources allow.
